The program includes a 970-page Psychiatry Clinical Reasoning Case Studies featuring 45 comprehensive clinical case studies across the lifespan, designed for independent self-study and ongoing clinical reference.
In addition to the casebook, you will receive a 3-hour Zoom presentation recording featuring an in-depth Perinatal Psychiatry presentation and discussion of select clinical case studies.
Strengthen your clinical reasoning, psychiatric knowledge, and confidence through a comprehensive educational experience designed for PMHNPs, PMHNP students, and psychiatric providers.
This training is not simply about memorizing psychiatric diagnoses. It is designed to help you strengthen how you think through the patient sitting in front of you.
Through realistic and complex clinical scenarios, each case challenges you to work through the complete psychiatric decision-making process, including:
The cases span pregnancy and the postpartum period, childhood and adolescence, adulthood, geriatric psychiatry, and addiction psychiatry, allowing you to strengthen your clinical reasoning across a wide range of psychiatric presentations.
This training is ideal for providers who want to strengthen their clinical knowledge and feel more prepared when assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing complex psychiatric presentations across the lifespan.
Rather than simply giving you a diagnosis and treatment answer, the 45-case, 970-page Psychiatry Clinical Reasoning Casebook walks you through the reasoning behind clinical decisions—what information matters, what diagnoses should remain on the differential, what needs to be ruled out, what medication options should be considered, what should be monitored, and how the clinical decision should be documented.
You will receive 4 months of access to the Zoom recording, allowing you to revisit the presentation at your own pace.
The training is designed for busy professionals and students, allowing you to learn around your work, clinical, school, and personal schedule.
You will also receive the downloadable 970-page Psychiatry Clinical Reasoning Casebook, which can be saved and used alongside the presentation and as an ongoing educational reference after completing the training.
The goal is not simply to memorize information. It is to help you become more intentional and systematic in how you assess psychiatric patients, develop differential diagnoses, select appropriate interventions, manage medications, evaluate safety, and build comprehensive psychiatric treatment plans.
Please Note: The 970-page Psychiatry Clinical Reasoning Casebook, containing 49 comprehensive clinical case studies, is a digital, downloadable document only. It is NOT a physical book, and no printed book will be mailed or shipped. After obtaining access, learners are responsible for downloading the document for independent study and future reference.
The 49 clinical case studies are independent self-study educational materials and are not all individually presented or discussed during the Zoom recording. The recording consists primarily of the Perinatal Psychiatry presentation and discussion of one selected clinical case study. The remaining case studies are included in the downloadable 970-page casebook for learners to review and study independently at their own pace.
Important Educational Disclaimer: All presentations, case studies, medication discussions, dosing information, diagnostic considerations, treatment approaches, and other materials are provided for educational purposes only. They are not intended to replace independent clinical judgment, individualized patient assessment, current prescribing information, consultation with appropriate specialists, institutional policies, or applicable standards of care.
